As therapists we are intimately familiar with the demands of this helping profession. Compassion fatigue is very real and working with clients can sometimes bring up our own emotional stuff. Makes sense as we are human too. And we don't always get it right and take a proactive approach to our mental health. We need to though if we want to provide the best care for our clients, model healthy behaviour for them and to commit to our own growth and emotional wellbeing.
Being a therapist can feel incredibly rewarding—and incredibly lonely. Whether you’re just starting out or years into practice, having the right kind of support matters. Mentorship can be a powerful launch pad for discovery, confidence, and growth—not just in how you work with clients, but in how you see yourself as a clinician.
Therapists hold a lot. We navigate nuance, sit with complexity, and often do it solo. Mentorship offers space to slow down, reflect, and explore your work, your questions, your edges. It’s not supervision or consultation (though it might touch on those areas)—it’s a relational, collaborative space to grow into the therapist you want to be.
Mentorship can help you:
I have been a Psychotherapist in private practice for 9 years. Before this, I had previous careers in education, international development and humanitarian aid work. In these prior careers, I taught and designed powerful mentorship programs and trained teachers to become successful mentors. I was also fortunate enough to have had my own experiences both as mentor and mentee. These experiences were profound and invaluable.
I offer mentorship because I’ve lived it—on both sides. My own journey has been shaped by powerful mentoring relationships that opened new doors in my practice and helped me find more ease and confidence in my work. As a mentor, I aim to do the same for others: to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and stretched in the best ways.
Just like in therapy, fit matters. Finding the right mentor—someone who gets your values, your voice, and the kind of work you want to do—can make all the difference. If you're looking for mentorship that’s grounded, collaborative, creative, and honest, we might be a good fit.
Like my work as a therapist, I believe a flexible and personalized approach is essential in the mentoring relationship and process. You have particular needs, goals, personality and beliefs. However, there are common challenges and hurdles amongst therapists so a small group format is possible. Groups allow for learning from peers as well.
While the mentorship sessions can feel informal, we will work together to create what you need; building in practical tools and resources, feedback and accountability and continual support.
We can meet in my office, virtually, in a coffee shop or outdoors. We can have one session or a series of sessions over a period of time. This is totally customizable.
Single hour session = $160+ HST | Series of 3 sessions = $450 + HST | Series of 5 sessions = $725 + HST
Small group 2 hour session options. Create your own group of 5 or less for virtual or office sessions. Multiple session packages are also possible. Contact me if interested and for pricing.
Your therapy space should feel like you.
Beyond paint swatches and furniture placement, your office is part of the therapeutic experience—it holds the work, the energy, the safety. A well-designed space isn’t about following design trends or generic "calm room" templates. It’s about creating an environment that reflects your values, your style, your niche—and that supports both you and your clients to feel grounded, present, and connected.
I help therapists move beyond standard design rules to create offices that are aligned, intentional, and deeply authentic. Whether you're furnishing your first office or reimagining your current space, we’ll work together to shape a room that feels like an extension of your practice—because how your space feels matters just as much as how it looks.
